New AFL-CIO Wal-Mart Report

A New AFL-CIO report titled "The Wal-Mart Tax: A Review of Studies Examining Employers' Health Care Cost-Shifting" came out last week. To understand why so many of their workers rely on public assistance, read "Wal-Mart: An Example of Why Workers Remain Uninsured and Underinsured."
It's kind of hard to afford spending $130 a month (the cheapest possible plan) plus 20% of your medical expenses when you're making $7.50 an hour. Want to take your child to the doctor for a checkup? Sorry, that's not covered by Wal-Mart's plan.
